EUPHOROS
The photographic exploration "What the Water Gave Us: Chapter II" is coming to life, continuing to think about water as our connective element and the complex entanglement of the living. This time I take my cue from Claudia Egerer, who considers not only the close affinities of water and imagination, but also takes into account the age old links between the human and natural experience that suddenly assume new urgency.
Chapter II of the project is journeying into the state of water euphoria, a feeling of elation, happiness and well-being, one that is groundless and somewhat disproportionate to its cause. As opposed to euphoria's possible marriage to known negative connotations, I invite you to think about the original meaning of of the word, that of being borne well and healthy. All in the presence of water, of course. The journey continues.
