Our Place is an ongoing project commenced in 2017 which documents a small group of life-long friends and lovers and their annual stay by a lake in Southern Lithuania.
This work celebrates the human-made connections through a gift of friendship - a territory of light, freedom, ultimate trust and a sense of profound recognition. It explores the landscape of closeness where the playful essense of human nature unfolds. It also observes the place by the lake as a promise of respite and quietude, and how this shared sentiment informs multiple acts of surrender. We eschew our clocks and focus on the humm of the bees.
The lake may change with time but our place will remain the same. This is a love letter to friendship and a paradise closed to many.
